A New Chapter in Comfort Dining
Farmhouse Cafe entered a new chapter in 2024 when best friends Steph and Liz took over ownership. What began as a shared dream between the two friends quickly became something even bigger- a family - run restaurant built around the idea that food brings people together, which deeply influences how they view hospitality.
A Family-Run Approach
For them, the kitchen table has always been the center of connection- where meals are shared, stories are told and memories are made. They saw a place where they could create the same feeling of warmth and belonging that they value in their own homes. A place where the community could feel part of the family.

We specialize in classic American comfort dishes with a flair, dishes made with care, generous portions, and flavors that feel familiar and satisfying. including our handmade sauces, scratch made meatloaf , chicken fried steak and great local beef and ingredients.
A True Family Operation from Front to Back
Our husbands run the kitchen, bringing experience, creativity, and hard work behind the scenes. You will see them out front from time to time as well.
Our kids, ranging from 13 to 25, consists of the rest of the team helping with everything from hosting, dishwashing, prepping, cooking and filling in all the gaps with all daily operations. We hope to see our grandchildren running around this place one day.

Located in the heart of Cheney, just steps from Eastern Washington University, Farmhouse Cafe is a place where the community naturally comes together. Locals, students, families, and visitors all find a seat at the table here, sharing good food and easy conversation in a setting that feels warm, welcoming, and comfortably familiar.
